Product-alert cancellation via unchecked subscription key
Published Sep 25, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in HUSKY Products Filter for WooCommerce 1.3.6.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to cancel product alerts. The woof_messenger_remove_subscr AJAX action accepts a user-controlled key and removes the matching subscription without verifying that it belongs to the caller. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, but exploitation requires the Products Messenger extension to be enabled and a valid key to be obtained or brute-forced.
