Stored script execution via unsanitized form colors
Published Oct 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Forms for Mailchimp by Optin Cat 2.5.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject web scripts. Form color parameters are stored without sufficient input sanitization and later rendered without output escaping, causing browsers that open an injected page to execute the supplied script. Editor-level access is required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary web scripts in each visitor's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
