Arbitrary file write and deletion via unsanitized filenames
Published Aug 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Path traversal in ELADMIN 2.0 through 2.7 allows remote authenticated users to write or delete files through management uploads. DatabaseController and DeployController append the original filename to fileSavePath, delete the resulting path, and transfer the upload without validating the path or suffix. Access requires database:add or deploy:edit permission; successful exploitation can replace files, remove arbitrary files, interrupt service, or stage code execution.
