Database disclosure via unsanitized patient_name query
Published Aug 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 7, 2024
SQL injection in Clinic's Patient Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via patient_name. The patients.php handler inserts the POSTed patient_name value directly into an SQL statement without validation, escaping, or parameterization. A valid management login and network access to the patient-management endpoint are required; successful injection exposes sensitive records stored by the application.
