Authenticated command execution via crafted CGI query
Published Aug 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Command injection in VIVOTEK SD9364 VVTK-0103f allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted CGI query. upload_file.cgi reads QUERY_STRING with getenv and passes attacker-controlled data to an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax. Low-privilege access to the CGI endpoint is required, and successful injection grants command execution on the camera; the affected release tree is unsupported.
