CVE-2024-7441Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via oversized Content-Length

Published Aug 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 7, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in VIVOTEK SD9364 VVTK-0103f allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted HTTP requests. The httpd read path trusts an oversized Content-Length value when copying a PUT or POST request into a fixed stack buffer, allowing overwrite of saved registers and the program counter. Access to the affected HTTP service and low-privilege credentials is required; successful exploitation can control the camera or crash its web service.
