SYSTEM code execution via unchecked upload path
Published Aug 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 25, 2026
Path traversal in Samsung Electronics MagicINFO 9 Server before 21.1050 allows remote authenticated users to write files as SYSTEM. The getFileFromMultipartFile method uses a user-supplied path in file operations without validating that the resolved destination stays inside the upload directory. Low-privileged network access is sufficient; a crafted server-side file executes code with SYSTEM authority.
