CVE-2024-7396Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Credential disclosure via plaintext Telnet management

Published Aug 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Cleartext transmission in Korenix JetPort 5601v3 through 1.2 allows remote attackers to read passwords via network sniffing. The TCP port 600 configuration service uses Telnet and sends password-change commands, including the new password, without encryption. Traffic-path access during a management session exposes credentials and other critical configuration data; no modification or service interruption is reported.
