Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized id parameter
Published Aug 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Tracking/Monitoring Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL via the id parameter. The manage_user.php endpoint incorporates the id query parameter into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, as demonstrated by a time-based sqlmap request. A valid application session is required; successful exploitation can read or modify database data and interrupt database-backed functions.
