Stored XSS via unsanitized establishment name
Published Aug 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Tracking/Monitoring Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script via establishment names. The save_establishment handler in ajax.php accepts the name parameter without neutralizing browser-interpreted markup before storing and later rendering it. Exploitation requires a crafted establishment record and subsequent interaction by another user, causing the script to execute in that user's browser context.
