Stored XSS via unescaped chart fields
Published Aug 7, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WpDevArt Organization chart 1.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through chart fields. The chart editor accepts title_input and node_description values without sufficient sanitization, then places them in page output without context-appropriate escaping. Administrator access is required by default; subscriber-level access is sufficient when chart permissions are extended, and injected scripts execute in the browser of a user who visits the affected chart.
