Administrator-session script execution via unescaped promo URL
Published Sep 2, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Saturday Drive Ninja Forms 3.8.6 through 3.8.10 allows remote attackers to run scripts in an administrator's browser. The Survey Promo notice uses add_query_arg and writes the resulting URL into an HTML attribute without context-appropriate escaping. The notice must remain undismissed, and a logged-in administrator must open a crafted submissions-page URL; successful exploitation exposes or modifies data reachable through that browser session.
