Authenticated memory corruption via oversized http_host
Published Aug 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK EX200 4.0.3c.7646_B20201211 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted request. The loginauth function in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi accepts an oversized http_host value without enforcing the destination buffer's bounds. A valid session and network access to the management interface are required; the corruption can interrupt the management service, while reliable code execution is not publicly demonstrated.
