Unauthenticated device access via fixed Telnet password
Published Aug 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in the Telnet service of TOTOLINK CP450 4.1.0cu.747_B20191224 allow remote attackers to gain device access. The firmware stores a fixed Telnet password in /web_cste/cgi-bin/product.ini and uses that shared value to authenticate inbound Telnet sessions. No prior privileges or user interaction are required, and successful login permits unauthorized control of the appliance.
