Remote code execution via client-controlled upload MIME type
Published Jul 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in YouDianCMS 7 allows remote attackers to upload executable PHP files through image_upload.php. The handler trusts the client-supplied MIME type, preserves the final PHP extension from a double-extension filename, and moves the file into web-accessible image/uploads. No authentication is checked, so requesting the uploaded script executes attacker-controlled PHP on the server.
