CVE-2024-7316Network attack vector

Emergency stop via malformed TCP packets

Published Oct 17, 2024 · Updated Dec 22, 2025

Improper input validation in Mitsubishi Electric CNC Series allows remote attackers to trigger an emergency stop via TCP port 683. The TCP/683 packet handler accepts a crafted quantity without proper validation and places the target in a denial-of-service state. No authentication or user interaction is required, but exploitation has high complexity and recovery requires a system reset.
