Session hijacking via unvalidated REST Host value
Published Sep 11, 2024 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Open redirect in Payara Server's REST Management Interface allows attackers to hijack sessions through crafted Host values. The interface constructs response links from an unvalidated Host value, allowing an attacker-controlled destination to be embedded in those links. Exploitation requires high privileges and active user interaction, and the vendor states that only the server administration REST interface is affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
