Authenticated browser script execution via unescaped sort parameter
Published Jul 31, 2024 · Updated Jul 31, 2024
Reflected XSS in SourceCodester Record Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the sort parameter. The sort_user.php response returns the submitted sort value into HTML without neutralizing a closing quote and script markup. A valid PHP session and a user who loads the crafted response are required; successful exploitation runs script in that user's browser context.
