Browser script execution via unfiltered 3gp2 uploads
Published Aug 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Adenion GmbH Blog2Social 7.5.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through 3gp2 uploads. The upload handling in includes/Ajax/Post.php admits attacker-controlled 3gp2 content without sufficient sanitization, while later delivery fails to escape it. Author-level access is required, and execution occurs when another user accesses the uploaded file, exposing that user's browser session to script actions.
