Authenticated browser script execution via Showcase fields
Published Jul 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Bolt CMS 3.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through Showcase title or textarea input. The Showcase Creation Handler fails to neutralize these fields before browser rendering; the published record does not identify the responsible function. An authenticated account can plant the payload, and exploitation requires another user to view the affected content, causing unauthorized script execution in that user's browser.
