Browser script execution via unsanitized establishment name
Published Jul 31, 2024 · Updated Jul 31, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Establishment Billing Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute browser script. The save_settings action accepts script markup in the name field, which the application later renders as active page content. An authenticated system user must submit the setting, and another user must open the affected page; the script then runs in that browser under the application origin.
