Database query execution via unsanitized category input
Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in /admin/category_save.php in itsourcecode.com Alton Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL. The handler incorporates the POST category value into a database statement with inadequate filtering; a public proof of concept appends a MySQL subquery that invokes SLEEP(5), creating a time-based blind oracle. Administrator access is required, and public evidence demonstrates controlled query delay rather than direct data extraction or operating-system command execution.
