Stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published Aug 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in BdThemes Element Pack 5.7.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Elementor widgets. The Custom Gallery and Countdown render paths accept user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and output them without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored script executes in a visitor's browser whenever the affected page is opened.
