System denial of service via symbolic-link folder creation

Link-following in AVG AntiVirus Free 23.11.8635.809 allows local users to interrupt the system through a crafted symbolic link. AVG Service follows an attacker-created symbolic link when creating a folder, directing the privileged filesystem operation to an unintended location. Low-privileged code execution is required, and the reported consequence is system denial of service rather than data disclosure.
