CVE-2024-7216Public exploit

Information disclosure via embedded account credential

Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in TOTOLINK LR1200 9.3.1cu.2832 allow remote authenticated users to read device-confidential information. The firmware embeds a fixed account credential in /etc/shadow.sample rather than generating a device-specific secret. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access and low privileges; the published impact is limited to confidentiality with no integrity or availability effect.
