Authenticated command execution via host_time injection
Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Command injection in TOTOLINK LR1200 9.3.1cu.2832 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via host_time. The NTPSyncWithHost handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi uses the attacker-controlled value in command execution without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Router management access is required, and successful injection grants command execution in the firmware context.
