Administrator access via injectable login username
Published Jul 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Complaints Report Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to bypass administrator authentication. The /admin/ajax.php?action=login handler incorporates the username parameter into its credential query without neutralizing SQL syntax. No account or user interaction is required; a tautology in username makes the endpoint return success and grants access to the administrative interface.
