Memory corruption via overlong webWlanIdx input
Published Jul 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Buffer overflow in setWebWlanIdx in TOTOLINK A3600R 4.1.2cu.5182_B20201102 allows remote attackers to corrupt CGI process memory. The handler accepts an overlong webWlanIdx argument in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi without enforcing the destination buffer's size. Network access to the router's CGI interface is required; public material does not establish whether authentication is required or whether code execution is achievable.
