Stored XSS via unfiltered danmaku settings
Published Jul 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in SeaCMS 12.9 and 13.0 allows remote attackers to inject script through the yzm settings parameter. The settings endpoint stores unfiltered yzm.dmrule content, and setting.js concatenates it directly into an anchor rendered by the player. Exploitation requires an administrator to open a malicious page that submits the settings form; subsequent video viewers execute the stored script.
