Authenticated command injection via setWanCfg hostName
Published Jul 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Command injection in TOTOLINK A3700R 9.1.2u.5822_B20200513 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted hostName. The setWanCfg handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi incorporates hostName into a system command without neutralizing command syntax. Access to the router management interface is required, and successful injection runs attacker-selected commands on the router.
