Authenticated device crash via unbounded sprintf
Published Jul 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda O3 1.0.0.10(2478) allows remote authenticated users to crash the device via a crafted POST request. fromSafeSetMacFilter passes attacker-controlled remark, type, and time values to sprintf without bounding the write to the fixed-size v80 stack array. Low-privileged access to /goform/setMacFilterList is required; the public proof of concept supplies an oversized time value, but code execution has not been demonstrated.
