Stored XSS via unescaped widget identifiers
Published Aug 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Crocoblock JetElements 2.6.20 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget identifiers. The id and slide_id parameters are stored without sufficient input sanitization and later rendered without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the scripts run when a visitor opens the injected page, enabling actions and data access in that visitor's browser context.
