Stored XSS via unescaped post excerpts
Published Aug 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024
Stored XSS in GoDaddy CoBlocks before 3.1.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted excerpts in Posts blocks. The Posts and Post Carousel editor blocks insert excerpt HTML without proper escaping when rendering embedded post content. A user who can publish posts can store the payload, but execution requires another user to add an affected block, exposing or modifying data in that user's browser context.
