Admin-level command execution via Twig message preview
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 15, 2025
Twig template injection in Simply Schedule Appointments before 1.6.7.43 allows remote authenticated users to execute server commands. The Notifications message live preview evaluates administrator-supplied Twig syntax, including filter calls that invoke system commands, instead of treating the message as text. Administrator access and at least one appointment type are required; successful exploitation runs commands with the WordPress web-server process's permissions.
