CVE-2024-7091Network attack vector

Authenticated export disclosure via user-scoped authorization

Published Jul 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024

Information disclosure in GitLab CE/EE allows remote authenticated users to read restricted project or group export data. Direct Transfer filters nested resources according to the exporting user's permissions, then permits a different authorized member to download the same archive. The attacker needs access to the exported project or group, and another user must first generate the archive; disclosure is limited to content hidden from the attacker's account.
