Reflected XSS via unescaped media URL parameter
Published Aug 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in LH Add Media From Url 1.23 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a crafted media URL. The upload form writes the lh_add_media_from_url-file_url request value into an HTML input without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Execution requires a user to follow an attacker-controlled link, and the script runs in that user's browser within the WordPress site's security context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
