CVE-2024-7007Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthorized web access via unprotected password endpoint

Published Jul 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Authentication bypass in Positron Broadcast Signal Processor TRA7005 1.20 allows remote attackers to access protected web areas. The embedded web server exposes _Passwd.html without Digest authentication and accepts unauthenticated form fields that replace or erase user, operator, or administrator passwords. Network access to the optional Ethernet web server is sufficient, and the bypass grants entry to the corresponding protected area after a chosen password is set.
