Authenticated code execution via uploaded backend binary
Published Sep 27, 2024 · Updated Sep 27, 2024
Code injection in Mudler LocalAI before 2.19.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute uploaded backend binaries on the host. The backend loader accepts executable backend sources supplied outside trusted configuration files, stores the uploaded binary, and launches it as a model backend. Low-privileged API access is required, and successful execution grants the binary the LocalAI service process's control over host data and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
