Untrusted search path in Cato Networks Cato Client before 5.10.34 allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM on Windows. The privileged winvpnclient.cli.exe service loads openssl.cnf from a nonexistent, user-creatable build path, whose engine directive loads an attacker-chosen DLL. A low-privileged local user must create the path and configuration, then trigger a service restart and web request; successful exploitation grants full control of the device.
