Authenticated device compromise via formQosSet stack overflow

Published Jul 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda O3 1.0.0.10 allows remote authenticated users to compromise the device through formQosSet. The handler processes oversized remark, ipRange, upSpeed, downSpeed, and enable request values without enforcing stack-buffer bounds. A low-privileged management session is required; successful exploitation can disclose or alter data and interrupt device operation.
