Client code execution via unchecked PDF font data
Published Jul 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SiYuan Note's SiYuan 3.1.0 PDF Handler allows remote authenticated users to run code through a malicious PDF. Embedded PDF.js evaluates attacker-controlled font data after insufficient type validation when isEvalSupported retains its default enabled value. A user must insert and open the PDF; the resulting code executes in the hosting application context.
