CVE-2024-6913Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via privileged xp_cmdshell

Published Jul 22, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Execution with unnecessary privileges in PerkinElmer ProcessPlus 1.11.6507.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run Windows commands. ProcessPlus connects to Microsoft SQL Server as the privileged sa account, enabling xp_cmdshell to pass attacker-supplied commands to the Windows shell. Network access to TCP port 1433 and the shared sa credentials present on affected installations grant command execution with the database service's Windows privileges.
