Browser script execution via unescaped language List setting
Published Sep 9, 2024 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
Stored XSS in AshanJay Designs LLC EventON and EventON Lite before 2.2.17 allows remote authenticated users to execute browser scripts. The language settings page stores the Other tab's List field without sanitizing its input or escaping the value when rendered. Administrator privileges and a site that denies unfiltered_html are required, and the script runs when a user clicks the injected field or invokes its access key.
