Authenticated SQL injection via unescaped id parameter
Published Jul 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Record Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read and alter records via the id parameter. view_info_user.php copies the GET id value into a quoted employeeID predicate and executes the resulting MySQL query without validation, escaping, or parameter binding. Any authenticated staff account that can request this page can inject error-based or time-based SQL and compromise data available to the application database account.
