Database query execution via unsanitized position parameter
Published Jul 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Record Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries via a POST request. In sort1_user.php, the position POST value is concatenated without escaping or parameterization into a SELECT query's quoted WHERE condition. A valid PHP session and access to the personnel-sorting page permit boolean-, error-, and time-based SQL execution within the application's database privileges.
