Stored XSS via unsanitized button color setting
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Stored XSS in RafflePress before 1.12.16 allows remote authenticated users with Editor access to execute script in visitors' browsers. The giveaway builder stores the Button color value without sanitizing it and renders it into a style context without output escaping. Editor-level access is required, and execution occurs when the saved giveaway is viewed on the frontend or in preview, including when unfiltered_html is disabled.
