PLC disclosure and crash via unchecked month value
Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in OSCAT Basic Library before 3.3.5 allows local users to read limited PLC data or crash the PLC. The MONTH_TO_STRING function fails to fully validate a supplied month value before using it to select a string representation. Exploitation requires an external input path, such as a visualization field, that passes an out-of-range integer into the PLC program without independent range checking.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
