Unauthorized account and project creation via reflected origins
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Lunary before 1.4.10 allows remote attackers to create accounts and projects through a victim's browser. The backend CORS middleware reflects any Origin header, permits credentials, and exposes unauthenticated endpoints to cross-origin requests. A victim must visit attacker-controlled content while a self-hosted instance is browser-reachable; successful requests grant local-user-equivalent access.
