CVE-2024-6855Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Exit-popup modification via missing nonce validation

Published Sep 8, 2024 · Updated Sep 9, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in WP MultiTasking – WP Utilities 0.1.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify exit-popup settings. The wpmt_exit_popup administration endpoint accepts a forged POST containing exit-popup values and a save action without validating an anti-CSRF nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML; the request can replace popup content and behavior with attacker-chosen values.
