Settings modification via missing CSRF validation
Published Sep 8, 2024 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in WP MultiTasking – WP Utilities 0.1.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify plugin settings. The wpmt_settings administration handler accepts and saves attacker-selected POST values without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to load attacker-controlled content, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized settings modification.
